Hays - Business Functional Analyst (Payments & Derivatives)

We are looking for a Business Analyst - Payement & Derivatives for one of its clients based in Luxembourg.

Permanent contract (via a payrolling company) or freelance contract

Daily rate up to 600EUR

Annual gross salary up to100 000EUR

English fluent is mandatory

You own your work. You identify what needs doing, explain your progress, and actually see the impact of your contributions, no micromanaging, just trust.

You become a testing ninja. From payments to derivatives, you prep and run test cases that sharpen your analytical skills and deepen your domain expertise.

You get hands-on with Avaloq. If you've worked with it before, great. If not, you gain valuable experience with one of the most widely used core banking systems in Europe.

You be the quality gatekeeper. You run real testing scenarios, prep transactions, and make sure everything works as it should, before it hits production.

You make bugs disappear. Found a defect? You escalate it, track it, and follow up until it's fixed. You're not just spotting problems, you're solving them.

You connect the dots. Testing end-to-end flows across multiple systems means you understand how everything fits together, giving you a big-picture view that most analysts don't get.

You leave a trail of clarity. Your documentation help others understand what's been tested, what's working, and what needs attention. You be the person everyone turns to for answers.

Your profile

Strong experience of instant payments (SEPA)

Knowledge of derivatives

Experience in Testing

Experience with Avaloq or other core banking systems
