Doctoral Researcher in Molecular and Cellular Cancer Immunology

Your role

• Conduct wet-lab research using mouse models and/or cancer patient samples
• Develop and apply patient-derived 3D models, immune co-cultures, and study cellular interactions via extracellular vesicles
• Analyze high-throughput datasets using R or similar software tools
• Present research findings in meetings
• Document performed experiments in a lab book to ensure reproducibility
• Contribute to the preparation of scientific reports, grant applications and publications
• Participate in lab and institutional activities, including seminars, PhD days, and mentoring opportunities
• Engage actively in the doctoral training program

Your profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field e.g., immunology, molecular/cell biology, biomedicine, or related disciplines
• Strong foundation in adaptive immunity, with familiarity with B cell development, antibody structure, immune responses in cancer
• Hands-on experience with core wet lab techniques: cell culture, PCR, western blotting, and basic functional assays using immune or cancer cell models
• Working knowledge of flow cytometry for immune cell phenotyping; experience with multi-parameter panels or cell sorting is a plus
• Understanding of extracellular vesicle biology, ideally in the context of tumor-immune interactions
• Basic knowledge of how DNA editing/mutagenesis tools e.g. CRISPR, deaminases, repair pathways can contribute to our understanding of biological mechanisms
• Comfortable working with biological datasets; experience with R, Python, or omics analysis pipelines is advantageous but a keen willingness to learn is equally valued
