We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Trust Accounting Officer to join our Trust Accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting of a portfolio of trust and company structures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Reporting Maintain accurate accounting records for a portfolio of trusts, foundations, and corporate entities. Prepare periodic management accounts, annual financial statements (under applicable GAAP / IFRS), and ad hoc reports. Coordinate and support year-end audits, including liaising with external auditors. Transaction Processing Record and reconcile bank transactions, investments, loans, distributions, and asset movements. Monitor cash flow and investment activity, ensuring transactions are correctly booked and classified. Review trust deeds, legal documents, and agreements for accounting implications. Regulatory & Tax Compliance Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and tax reporting requirements. Assist with the preparation of tax filings and liaise with external tax advisors where needed. Controls & Process Improvement Support the development and implementation of accounting controls and procedures. Identify process improvements and contribute to system upgrades or automation projects. Collaboration & Client Service Work closely with trust officers, relationship managers, and legal teams to understand client structures and ensure accurate reporting. Respond to accounting-related client queries in a professional and timely manner. Training & Supervision Support junior accounting staff through mentoring and review of their work. Contribute to internal training and knowledge sharing initiatives. Required Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, ACA, or equivalent) preferred. 5+ years of relevant experience in trust or fiduciary accounting, wealth management, or corporate services. Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, local GAAP, etc.). Experience with trust accounting systems (e.g., Viewpoint, NavOne, or similar) is a plus.
