Senior Financial Analyst, Alexa International Finance

Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member of our Alexa International Finance team. Alexa is the name of the Amazon cloud service that powers the Echo device family, the Amazon devices designed around your voice. The successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments.

This Business Partner role requires a self-starter with solid business modeling skills and a good track record of being an adviser to the business.

This job has regular interaction with business leaders across Amazon and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. This role also involves partnering with the business to develop financial models for engagement, monetization and other subscription programs for International locales that will drive key strategic decisions for the business.

Key job responsibilities

1) Lead key initiatives to uncover key business insights and opportunities with financial ROI, and work with stakeholders to prioritize and optimize based on cost / benefit.

2) Serve as a key finance partner supporting the Alexa International Business.

3) Lead the development of financial models and advanced analytical tools that aid in key decision making.

4) Drive creation, implementation and reporting of financial and engagement performance metrics.

5) Build business processes that help business leaders understand progress to goals as well as strategic insights to guide overall direction.

6) Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and present findings to senior management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree
• Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
• Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
• Experience in building financial and operational reports / data sets that inform business decision-making
• Finance experience or a related analytical field.
