GOP (Global Operating Products) with several Sub-Categories present in 6 hubs ensures proximity to the plant and captures full benefit of our size. This Procurement organization is centrally led and managed per categories to develop expertise, consolidate the needs and follow-up the execution of contracts.

  • Guarantee the standards of Health and Safety and Golden Rules from suppliers
  • Ensure deliveries of refractories at right time, cost and quality
  • Coordinate negotiations with selected suppliers (local and global scope)
  • Develop strategy, planning and reporting for supplier negotiation
  • Prepare and submit EON (End of Negotiation) for higher management approval
  • Elaborate and coordinate contracts documents in the system (E-Signature, validity, revision, etc.)
  • Communicate and update prices internally (BCoE, users, SAP / Digipace, etc.)
  • Conduct RFQ (Request for Quotation) for spot / special demands in the market
  • Analyze offers, benchmark with other plants / suppliers. Communicate results to plants
  • Documentation of negotiations in minutes
  • Ensure Quality Management performance on processes and KPIs
  • Improve Purchasing Performance by reducing Spot Orders and increasing Contract Ratio
  • Communicate regularly with BCoE team to place orders on time and to reduce Webcycles (mismatches)
  • Support plant buyers with issues on deliveries, quality, payments, etc
  • Ensuring Regular communication with the plant users
  • Reporting on KPI’s
  • Performance of plants against budget
  • Support development of captive sources (AM Refractories)
  • Support development of low cost / price alternatives and continuous improvement TCO projects
  • Managing technical and commercial database for refractories (collect and analyze data; optimize processes and reporting updates)
  • II TOOLS : use of Excel, Power Point, SAP and Digipace

COMPETENCIES

  • Industrial background.
  • Problem-solving, analytical skills and good ease facing numbers.
  • Good technical knowledge of contracts and targeted systems
  • Project management and negotiation
  • Communication and Innovation skills
  • Results oriented driven
  • Knowledge of PowerBI and IT development would be a plus.
  • LANGUAGE

    Fluent in English. Any additional European language is a plus.

    QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Materials science, Metallurgy, Ceramics…) and / or Business
  • Junior to 2 years of experience as Industrial Buyer
