For our department DPO & Compliance within General Services , we are looking for a (an) :
Data Protection Officer (m / f / x)
Main duties :
The DPO is responsible for overseeing company's data protection strategy and its implementation to ensure compliance with GDPR requirements. He / she reports to the CEO and the Executive committee.
- Provide pragmatic advice, research and analysis related to all aspects of personal data protection
- Ensure compliance with GDPR's requirements and coordinate with all Business units the implementation of those requirements
- Assist in elaborating risk mitigating and remediation plans
- Draft and implement appropriate policies and procedures related to data protection
- Maintain and manage records of all data processing activities processed by the company
- Interact as the main contact point with data protection authorities
- Manage all data subject requests and complaints
- Develop appropriate privacy training program and provide training to the employees
- Maintain proper records of all actions taken
- Depending on the need, assist the legal department with its daily activities.
Required profile :
Minimum required criteria :
Master degree in Law or equivalentMinimum 5 years of relevant work experience in data protection or similar fieldsExpertise in national and European data protection laws and practices including an in-depth understanding of the GDPRRemain independent while conducting the duties (data protection)Understanding of information technologies and data securityStrong ability to promote a data protection culture within the organizationRemain fully knowledgeable about data protection lawsAbility to work autonomouslyTeam player with excellent communication and inter-personal skills, ability to bridge the gap between technical and business languagesAnalytical and detail oriented skillsAbility to identify issues and provide pragmatic risk mitigation solutionMaintain strict confidentiality of dataFluency in English and French.The ideal candidate :
Knowledge of Luxemburgish, German or any other language is considered as asset.
