About the FHSE
The University of Luxembourg is an international research university with a distinctly multilingual and interdisciplinary character.
The Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE) at the University of Luxembourg brings together expertise from the humanities, linguistics, cognitive sciences, social and educational sciences.
People from across 20 disciplines are working within the Faculty. Along with the disciplinary approach a very ambitious interdisciplinary research culture has been developed. The faculty’s research and teaching focuses on social, economic, political and educational issues with the common goal of contributing to an inclusive, open and resourceful society.
Your role
- Maintain financial databases and ledgers, and propose corrections
- Prepare, control and consolidate budgets and forecasts, securing resources funding
- Collect, analyse, and report accurate financial data to stakeholders and management in a timely manner
- Support on financial matters throughout project lifecycles in compliance with funder and University requirements
- Align and coordinate financial processes and systems
- Provide training, and support to administrative staff on financial tools & processes
- Initiate and lead improvements of working methods and processes with various departments and services
- Sparring partner for Team Leader notably on strategic, highly technical and / or non-standard issues
- Ad hoc requests for analysis and reporting
Your profile
You have a Bachelor or Master degree in finance, accountingRelevant work experience in a similar position for at least 10 yearsGood knowledge of advanced functions in Excel formulas, queries, etcGood knowledge of SAP modules and Power BI is an assetExcellent communication and organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracyTeam player, able to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment, capable of coping with strict deadlines and able to work proactively and independentlySelf-starter, who takes own initiatives and has a high drive and motivation with a positive attitudeAbility to analyse and synthetize. Rigorous, pragmatic and efficientStrong interpersonal skills to be able to involve relevant stakeholders (central administration, budget holders in the Faculty and other administrative / scientific staff)We offer
