The Fund Legal Department is in charge of company secretarial tasks for the Cayman Islands-domiciled subsidiaries of NBL as well as monitoring of the legislations and regulations applicable to our business activities. The Fund Legal Department is also responsible for the legal work in relation to the set-up, restructuring and liquidation of investment funds (mainly domiciled in the Cayman Islands) being operated by a trustee in the Cayman Islands and administered by Nomura Bank (Luxembourg) S.A. We are offering a Trainee position for 6 months (with an internship agreement) to support the Fund Legal Department. Your main tasks will be : Assisting the team in conducting various corporate secretary tasks, such as administration of board of directors meetings for two Cayman Island trustee companies, maintenance of policies and procedures, conducing various activities for internal control and doing regulatory research. Assisting the team in dealing with various regular tasks, such as answering regular questions from other departments, validating invoices from law firms. Assisting the team in carrying out projects such as executing legal documents that are required during the lifecycle of investment funds and maintaining such documents in the internal folders and updating the fund list. Assisting the team lead to carry out team management and project management, such as updating the task allocation matrix and fund project control sheet. Job requirements : Preparing a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in law. Basic legal principles and contract law knowledge. Knowledge of common law is an asset. Fluency in English : both written and spoken. Good command of MS Office suite (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook. Skills to maintain PowerPoint would be an asset). Attentiveness to details and analytical skills. Good communication and organizational skills, following instructions and timely report to the team lead, checking status of assigned tasks until completion, and meeting multiple deadlines.
