Data Observability Engineer (m / f / n)

At Enovos, we recognize the critical role data quality and observability plays in driving business decisions. We are seeking a Data Observability Engineer to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and trustworthiness of our data.
In this role, you will collaborate with data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders to monitor, improve and maintain data health while leveraging modern tools and automation where applicable.
Your tasks
- You develop and implement data observability solutions to ensure high-quality, reliable, and well-monitored data pipeline
- You monitor, detect, and alert on data issues, proactively identifying anomalies, inconsistencies, and missing information
- You work closely with data teams to optimize data pipelines and troubleshoot performance or quality concerns
- You define key data health metrics and maintain comprehensive documentation for transparency and traceability
- You leverage automation and AI-driven tools where beneficial to enhance data monitoring and anomaly detection
Your profile
You hold a university degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or equivalentYou have at least 5 years of experience as a data engineer with strong understanding of data engineering concepts, data pipelines and cloud data platformsExperience with data observability tools (e.g. OpenMetaData, Data Contract CLI, Monte Carlo Great Expectations, Soda) or equivalent monitoring solutionsYou are proficient in SQL and Python. Experience in nodejs is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively detect and resolve data issuesYou show a high level of engagement and initiativeHighly effective verbal and written communication skills in English. A good knowledge of German and / or French will be considered as an advantageWhat we offer
