GOP (Global Operating Products) with several Sub-Categories present in 6 hubs ensures proximity to the plant and captures full benefit of our size. This Procurement organization is centrally led and managed per categories to develop expertise, consolidate the needs and follow-up the execution of contracts.
JOB DETAILS
As a global player and Buyer / Lead buyer at European Procurement Organization (EPO) is responsible for Planning, Coordination and Controlling the Refractory purchasing process (Procure to Pay, P2P), while assuring Sustainable Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). EPO negotiates the purchases contracts of products for the group worldwide, designing and implementing relevant strategies to anticipate market evolutions and establish transformation programs. EPO also leverages technical excellence to develop best TCO solutions, providing efficient and reliable services to internal customers and promoting high standards of Health and Safety and Golden Rules from suppliers.
Within the European Procurement Organization, in an international and multicultural environment, the Buyer is responsible of the sourcing of refractories.
ROLE & RESPONSABILITIES
COMMERCIAL
- Coordinate relationship as Key Account Manager (KAM) to a given set of Refractory suppliers.
- Lead & coordinate negotiations (conduct meetings, analyze offers, benchmark with other plants / suppliers, prepare strategy, documentation, elaboration of End of Negotiation (EON) report, and contract management.
- Management of a specific set internal stakeholders (ArcelorMittal FCE clusters) dealing with all Refractory related topics with Refractory users, and specific geography where ArcelorMittal is present.
- Analyze and develop the portfolio of products, suppliers and internal stakeholders’ strategy.
- Continuous improvement and implementation of projects with higher TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) in its portfolio of internal and external stakeholders.
- Work successfully with Users and Lead User in order to homologate new products and suppliers, implement cost reduction programs, extend the supply base and eliminate monopolies / oligopolies.
- Ensure Quality Management performance on processes and KPIs

Master’s degree in Engineering (Materials science, Metallurgy, Ceramics…) Economics, or Business. Majors in materials science, metallurgy or ceramics or financial certifications are a plus
EXPERIENCES
Minimum 2 / 5 years of experience as Industrial Buyer or 5 / 10 years of experience (preferably in heavy industry).
