Waagner-Biro Luxembourg Stage Systems S.A., a proud member of the Waagner-Biro Stage Systems Group headquartered in Austria, is one of the world’s leading providers of innovative stage technology solutions. From opera houses and theatres to music halls, multi-purpose venues, and luxury cruise ships, we design and deliver innovative systems that bring performances to life. At our Rodange site in Luxembourg, we specialize in developing the "Computer-Aided Theatre" (C⋅A⋅T) safety control system, a state-of-the-art software, controlling the stage machinery in over 200 prestigious venues worldwide.

We are seeking a dynamic Business Manager to lead the launch of an innovative new product line designed for event technology. This role combines technical expertise, business strategy, and a passion for customer satisfaction to drive the successful commercialization of innovative solutions for events, such as concerts, festivals, and corporate functions. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure the product delights customers and achieves business objectives.

YOUR TASKS

  • Develop and execute the business strategy for the new event technology product line, including market analysis, pricing, and go-to-market plans.
  • Lead product introduction efforts, ensuring seamless integration into the events industry and alignment with customer expectations.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure exceptional satisfaction throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define product specifications for event-focused solutions, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with market demands.
  • Manage the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to high-quality standards.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities in the events sector.
  • Build financial models and forecasts to support product viability and investment decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration between engineering, marketing, and sales to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Monitor post-launch product performance, using customer feedback to drive continuous improvements and ensure long-term satisfaction.
  • Represent the product line to internal stakeholders and external partners, including event organizers, venues, and potential investors.
  • Identify trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities in stage control systems.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business -, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, business development, customer success, or engineering, ideally in event technology, stage systems, or related industries.
  • Proven record of launching successful products, particularly in the events or entertainment sector, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong technical background to collaborate effectively with engineering teams on systems like C⋅A⋅T or other event technology solutions.
  • Exceptional customer-facing skills, with experience managing client and partner relationships.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with expertise in market analysis, financial modelling, and forecasting for event-focused products.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and engage with stakeholders in the events industry.
  • Fluency in English and / or German preferred; additional languages (e.g., French) are a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation, problem-solving, and delivering memorable event experiences.
  • Experience launching new products or entering new geographic or industry markets.
  • Network within the entertainment technology sector (e.g., theatres, system integrators, consultants) is an advantage.
  • You hold EU citizenship or a passport that will grant you easy access to work permits for international work sites.
