Context :

The AVATAR project aims to revolutionize urban air mobility by developing a Digital Twin for transformative air vehicles. This involves continuously monitoring the operation of these vehicles using an innovative smart IoT sensing skin, combined with accurate physical models, more complex AI models for predictive maintenance and advanced analytics. Managing the visualization of these digital twins presents unique challenges, including ensuring real-time data integration, maintaining performance, and addressing complex rendering issues. This internship will allow you to dive deep into these technologies, exploring how to develop, deploy, and manage advanced visualization tools for digital twins.

Topic :

The goal of this project is to design and implement advanced visualization solution for the AVATAR project’s digital twin platform. There are the needs to design, develop and integrate visualization components with the digital twin platform running on AWS, ensuring real-time insights and addressing challenges such as rendering performance and user interaction. This project will also cover how the optimization of visualization tools to handle large datasets and complex models, ensuring they remain highly available and performant, regardless of their deployment environment.

What you’ll be doing :

You will thus acquire knowledge on the following specialized subjects :

Design and Implement Visualization Solutions : Develop advanced visualization dashboard for digital twins using state-of-the-art technologies on AWS platform.

Integrate Visualization with Digital Twins : Ensure seamless integration of visualization components with the digital twin platform to provide real-time insights.

Optimize Visualization Performance : Enhance the performance and scalability of visualization tools to handle large datasets and complex models.

Collaborate with Development Engineers and Architects : Work closely with experienced professionals to solve real-world visualization challenges.

Documentation : Document your development, insights and recommendations for visualization of digital twin.

You will be part of the  AVATAR project team , which includes researchers, software developers and architects who are focused on creating innovative solutions for transformative air vehicles.

During your internship, you will receive guidance from a Senior Software Engineer and the Team Leader who will help you to define your approach and milestones. You will also participate in all team meetings and activities, providing you with an immersive professional experience and exposure to everyday challenges in the work environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes :

5th year of a master's degree or equivalent.

Strong interest on AI and Digital twin technologies.

Creativity and ability to propose non-standard solutions for complex tasks.

Good knowledge of modern software development practices

Familiarity with Cloud Native Development and AWS platform.

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
