Within the European Procurement Organization, in an international and multicultural environment, the Buyer would take charge of the procurement of Maintenance Lubricants for our European production facilities located in Belgium, France, Germany, Poland, and Spain.
Main Buyer activities :
- Market Intelligence
- Elaborate on purchasing strategy and deploy decided strategic levers
- Prospect, manage, and assess the capable panel of suppliers
- Plan, develop and negotiate contracts
- Report negotiation results
- Deploy contracts and measure their performance
- Interact with the transactional teams (back-office and middle office) for contract deployment
- Manage the uninterrupted supply to ArcelorMittal European plants
- Organize the relationship with plants and suppliers
- Work with the users and suppliers to improve a Total Cost of Ownership of the purchased products
- Deploy the European Procurement Organization’s Quality Management System policies within her / his respective area
Product (maintenance lubricants) :
Lubricant – substance introduced to reduce friction between surfaces in contact, which ultimately reduces the heat generated when the surfaces move. It may also have the function of transmitting forces, transporting foreign particles, or heating or cooling the surfaces;Lubricants are required and used to preserve as nearly and as long as possible the original performing conditions of equipment, installation used in the manufacturing process of our Company.The position is located in Luxembourg City (ArcelorMittal’s Headquarter office)

Master’s degree (Business School / Engineering School / Engineering School + Master in Purchasing)Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Buyer for in an industrial company (as raw material / industrial products / spare parts buyer)Industry orientedMicrosoft Office Pack : advanced Excel user.
