INHOUSE IT APPLICATION SPECIALIST (M / F)

THE ROLE

  • Serve as the technical product manager for business applications
  • Work closely with the IT Manager in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and implementing specific information technologies that support the business plans and IT strategies
  • Negotiate innovative business solutions that satisfy employee’s needs, are consistent with architectural guidelines, and conform to architectural principles and security standards
  • Act as a focal point for communicating related application / system problems within the department and collaborate with other teams and vendors on changes, fixes, and updates
  • Manage and follow-up developments and implementation of SaaS solutions
  • Provide technical support for testing and external development teams
  • Prepare (and update) the necessary technical documentation for all business applications
  • Provide ongoing troubleshooting, support, and maintenance of applications
  • Manage release and change management processes for business applications, including effective functional and end user communication
  • Assesses user needs to provide support and proactive service, including analysis of opportunities in order to take advantage of available tools
  • Work with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements
  • Develop business cases and solution options for stakeholder / committee approval

THE CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Computer science, engineering or technical field degree
  • 7+ years of experience in the software development lifecycle
  • Expertise in the design, implementation, and deployment of user-centric software
  • Data integration technologies (e.g. ETL, flat files, XML, SOAP, scripting, etc.)
  • Experience in web development (e.g. ASP.Net, HTML / HTML5, CSS / CSS3, PowerShell, IIS and JavaScript) would be an advantage
  • Experience in Microsoft Office 365 applications, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, custom WSPs, Visual Studio and / or Power BI would be an advantage
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Strong team player, good communication and presentation skills required
  • Proactive attitude, rigorous and methodical but also able to think out the box
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
