Job Brief :

We are looking for a Head Waiter to lead our front-of-house team during busy service hours. In this key role, you will oversee table management, ensure exceptional service standards, and coordinate with both the kitchen and service staff. As a head waiter, you will be instrumental in maintaining an efficient workflow and creating an outstanding dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities :

  • Deliver exceptional customer service : Act as the main point of contact for guests, resolving issues promptly and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Manage reservations and seating : Coordinate table assignments, manage waitlists, and optimize dining room flow for smooth service.
  • Supervise staff : Oversee and guide waitstaff in your section to ensure high performance and consistency.
  • Ensure dining room readiness : Inspect tables, chairs, and linens for cleanliness and setup accuracy. Monitor and restock business supplies as needed.
  • Monitor service quality : Train and mentor junior staff, ensuring adherence to service protocols and standards.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff : Communicate guest preferences and special requests to the kitchen effectively.
  • Handle customer accounts : Accurately manage billing, payments, and record keeping.
  • Maintain inventory : Ensure availability of table settings, cleaning supplies, and other service essentials.
  • Enforce hygiene and safety standards : Oversee sanitation of dining and kitchen areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist during service : When necessary, step in to take orders, serve food, or support the team to maintain smooth operations.
  • Foster a positive team environment : Promote a collaborative and respectful workplace culture.

Requirements And Skills :

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably as a head waiter or similar position.
  • Strong communication skills in English or French (bilingualism is an asset).
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and split shifts as needed.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to work outdoors during seasonal service
