Goals :

  • Manage existing JVs (through regular governance and on-field presence when required).
  • Prospect and develop partnerships in line with the EPO strategic targets.
  • Establish joint ventures (JVs) to foster innovation and increase competition.

The Strategic Partnerships Specialist will report to the Strategic Procurement Partnerships Officer  and will have the following responsibilities :

  • Set up and run JV governance, ensuring alignment with different stakeholders (H&S, CTO, Procurement, Finance, Operations, Legal, JV Partners, etc.)
  • Support and ensure that JVs are compliant with the applicable requirements (legal, reporting, internal Group requirements, etc.), including the elaboration of budgets, forecasts and investment files
  • Proactively manage deviations from plan / budget
  • Develop / improve / enlarge tools to monitor the performance of JVs
  • Develop / improve / enlarge models to provide forward view for the activity of JVs
  • Prepare analysis of market and competition to support the development of JVs’ businesses
  • Model business plans and analyse the profitability of individual projects
  • Identify and analyse funding alternatives for the projects and secure the funding in compliance with the applicable procedures and agreements
  • Geographical scope of mission :

    The post is based in Luxembourg. Occasional travel at European level is required.

    Competencies :

  • Fluent in English, French is an important asset, other European languages are a plus
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and financial modelling
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and strong analytical skills
  • Project management
  • Good knowledge of other MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint)
  • Profile :

  • Education : Master degree with emphasis on Finance, in areas such as Finance / Accounting, Business Management, Engineering
  • Previous experience in a global company or consulting firm, in areas such as M&A, corporate finance, financing / funding as well as project management - 5 years min
  • Good communication (interpersonal, presentations, preparation of meetings and workshops)
  • Ability to navigate through a multi-cultural, international environment, developing solid relationships with different stakeholders
  • Negotiation skills
