Mission of the candidate :The Transversal Competency Center Infrastructure is responsible for elaborating the IT Strategy and optimizing processes and governance for IT operations in Europe.
Within the Transversal Competency Center, the mission of the “EDI” team is to provide Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) services and support to ArcelorMittal organizations, including both external and internal customers, as well as logistical actors such as warehouses and reshippers.
With the majority of revenue coming from wholesale customers, and most of those customers using EDI, the systems, processes, and people supporting EDI are critical.
The EDI Architect will play a crucial role in providing governance, strategy, and optimizing EDI processes and systems within the AM Europe organization. This strategic position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in managing EDI platforms, particularly with expertise in the OpenText EDI platform, using them as our VAN (Value Added Network) Integrator or Connection Integrator.

Duties & Responsabilities :
- Design and maintain EDI solutions with the development team, ensuring compatibility with heterogeneous IT landscape applications, including old legacy systems, in parallel with strategic transversal solutions being deployed across Europe.
- Analyze and optimize EDI transactions and workflows to support ordering, manufacturing, distribution, and invoicing processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and translate business requirements into technical solutions that are reusable and compliant at the AM Europe organization level.
- Ensure compliance with relevant EDI standards and protocols within our ecosystem.
- Improve platform resiliency across all aspects of EDI, including real-time and batch transactions.
- Assess the technology platform to ensure reliability, availability, security, cost-effectiveness, and performance justification, considering regulatory infrastructure for long- and short-term planning.
- Review existing processes and identify and execute simplification and harmonization opportunities across different perimeters.
- Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues, providing timely and effective support and expertise.
- Provide documentation for implemented EDI solutions.
Education : Master – Engineering
Skills & Specifications :
- Familiarity with various EDI standards and protocols, primarily EDIFACT, VDA, and SAP IDOCs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Understanding of Physical Supply Chain systems.
- Strong knowledge of SAP systems and EDI integration.
- Good understanding of project management concepts, including Gantt charts / plans, risks, assumptions, and dependencies, etc. JIRA usage experience (optional)
Work experience requirements :
- Proven experience in implementing, configuring, and maintaining EDI systems, particularly in a manufacturing context.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in EDI development
- Experience working on tight deadlines for implementation projects.
