We are on the lookout for a / an Full-stack developer to join our team for working with European Institutions based in Luxembourg in an near site position .

For this position you would be working with our client from the European institutions.

Below are the details of your role and requirements.

Your role

Java Development :

Upgrading from Java 8 to Java 17+ (preferably 21)
Developing vendor-agnostic portable applications

Spring Boot :

Developing back-end applications.

Integrating Spring Boot applications with external services

API Development :

Developing and integrating Java APIs, especially with RESTful services.

Credential Management :

Securing applications and using secrets management tools like Hashicorp Vault.

Refactoring code to retrieve secrets securely from an external tool.

Dependency Management :

Using Maven to manage Java project dependencies.

Database Integration :

Working with Oracle databases and PostgreSQL, including migration strategies.

Integrating and configuring databases, e.g. Liquibase or similar

Working with RDF knowledge graphs and triple stores.

Containerization :

Containerizing applications with Docker, ideally with solutions compatible with

cloud-agnostic environments.

Messaging Platforms :

Integrating Kafka distributed event systems for asynchronous contexts.

Centralized management of data schemas in distributed events context.

Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI / CD) :

Following CI / CD practices for automated testing, integration, and deployment.

OPOCE_ Full-Stack Developer

Using GIT code repositories and delivery processes

Licensing and Compliance :

Working with licensing and compliance aspects and constraints of integrated

components and dependencies.

Framework Refactoring :

Refactoring applications from WebLogic to Tomcat.

Testing and Validation :

Testing and validation of application changes

Front-end testing with tools such as Mocha, Jest, Jmeter,or Cypress.

Back-end testing with tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Postman, and Testcontainers

Documenting and Communication :

Documenting code and system configurations.

Communication and collaboration with other teams and stakeholders.

Frontend Development :

Using modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically Angular and potentially eUI

Proficient use of HTML, CSS3, responsive and accessible design principles.

Working with frontend build tools like Webpack or Vite.

Cloud Platforms & Monitoring :

Development and integration of AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Implementing services using SaaS and CaaS hosting.

Integrating monitoring and logging tools such as the ELK stack.

Monitoring Kafka-based data flows

Agile & Collaboration :

Working in Agile / Scrum environments.

Using tools like Jira

Who we think you are :

1. Java Development

Strong experience with Java versions 8 to 21 (96 months).

Experience upgrading applications from Java 8 to versions 17+ (12 months).

OPOCE_ Full-Stack Developer

Design and development of cloud-portable, vendor-neutral applications using open

standards (36 months).

Development of back-end applications using Spring Boot (60 months).

Dependency management with Maven (72 months).

2. API Development

Development and integration of RESTful APIs (60 months).

GraphQL experience (12 months).

Experience with WSO2 API Gateway or similar tools (12 months).

3. Security & Credential Management

Securing applications following standards such as SSDF, NIST 800-53, etc. (48

months).

Working with secrets management tools like Hashicorp Vault (24 months).

4. Databases & Data Formats

Oracle RDBMS (72 months).

PostgreSQL RDBMS (72 months).

Oracle → PostgreSQL migration experience (12 months).

Database integration / configuration with Liquibase or similar tools (36 months).

RDF, knowledge graphs, and triple stores (24 months).

Oracle PL / SQL (36 months).

Working with XML, HTML data formats (80 months).

Working with JSON (80 months).

5. Containerization

Developing containerized applications using Docker (24 months).

Experience in cloud-agnostic environments (12 months).

Kubernetes (30 months).

6. Event-Driven Architecture

Experience with Apache Kafka (36 months).

Managing Kafka data schemas (e.g., Schema Registry) (36 months).

Monitoring and troubleshooting Kafka-based data flows and consumer performance

(18 months).

7. CI / CD & Licensing

CI / CD practices for automated testing, integration, and deployment (36 months).

Experience with Git repositories and delivery processes (36 months).

Managing licensing and compliance for integrated components / dependencies (12

months).

8. Framework Refactoring

Migrating applications from WebLogic to Tomcat or Java EE → Spring Boot (12

months).

9. Frontend Development

Angular (60 months).

HTML, CSS3 (60 months).

Responsive and accessible design (60 months).
