Description As a Senior Risk Manager for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in our commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable business practices. You'll lead efforts to ensure Amazon's compliance with EPR regulations across multiple jurisdictions, focusing on waste streams such as packaging, electronics, and batteries, amongst others. In this position, you'll leverage your strategic thinking, analytical skills, and stakeholder management abilities to develop innovative solutions, optimize compliance processes, and support Amazon's goals while navigating complex regulatory landscapes. Key job responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive audit frameworks to assess compliance controls across EPR programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards Lead the development and execution of risk-based audit plans, including resource allocation, timeline management, and stakeholder coordination across multiple jurisdictions Analyze audit findings to identify risks, develop data-driven remediation strategies, and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track improvement progress Spearhead automation initiatives to enhance compliance monitoring capabilities, implementing AI-driven scalable solutions for early detection and prevention of compliance defects Partner with cross-functional teams to drive remediation efforts, ensuring timely closure of audit findings and establishing sustainable process improvements to prevent recurrence Basic Qualifications Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level Experience in compliance, audit or risk management Bachelor's degree or equivalent 5+ years of program or project management experience Preferred Qualifications Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent Master's degree or equivalent Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
