EHS Manager

Your Job

The EHS Manager will be responsible for maintaining and improving Environmental, Health, and Safety measures of our SEVESO classified Guardian Bascharage float glass manufacturing facility. This role ensures full compliance with applicable regulations and corporate standards as well as alignment with the industry best practices, driving a proactive safety culture across all departments. The EHS Manager collaborates closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to identify and reduce risk, continuously improving plant performance.

What You Will Do

• Lead the site’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support EHS plant leadership, driving risk management, compliance, and incident prevention initiatives.
• Oversee development and continuous improvement of safety programs (e.g. lockout/tagout, machine guarding, confined space, emergency preparedness)
• Ensure environmental compliance for air emissions, wastewater, waste management, and hazardous materials, as well as managing internal and external EH&S audits and inspections.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Higher education degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related.
• Professional language capability in both French and English
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including direct supervision of technical staff.
• Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to influence across organizational levels and drive cultural change.
• Continuous improvement mindset

What Will Put You Ahead

• Strong knowledge of relevant EHS regulations and standards applicable in Luxembourg.
• Strong knowledge and/or experience of SEVESO classification.
• EHS experience in manufacturing or in heavy industrial environments.
