Join Us

At Vodafone, we’re not just shaping the future of connectivity for our customers – we’re shaping the future for everyone who joins our team. When you work with us, you’re part of a global mission to connect people, solve complex challenges, and create a sustainable and more inclusive world. If you want to grow your career whilst finding the perfect balance between work and life, Vodafone offers the opportunities to help you belong and make a real impact.

What you’ll do

At Vodafone Procure & Connect (VP&C), we bring together a world-class procurement organization with a global leader in voice and roaming services. As our Global Logistics Customs and Policy Compliance Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our international trade operations - ensuring compliance, driving efficiency, and shaping the future of our global supply chain. In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Lead Compliance Strategy: Design and implement VP&C’s import-export processes and Trade Control Compliance Program, including the development and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for customs and trade controls.
  • Oversee Global Operations: Manage customs clearing agents and collaborate with external partners - suppliers, contractors, and customers—to ensure regulatory compliance, contract alignment, KPI performance, and cost efficiency across our global logistics network.
  • Ensure Data Accuracy: Maintain and govern master data such as harmonised tariff codes, country of origin, and ECCNs, in line with EU, UK, and international trade regulations.
  • Support Audits & Inspections: Define and manage documentation retention policies to meet local legal requirements and Vodafone’s internal standards, supporting both internal audits and external authority inspections.
  • Manage Regulatory Administration: Handle all administrative and filing tasks related to customs declarations, trade licensing, and regulatory reporting across Vodafone’s diverse product lines.
  • Monitor Legislative Changes: Stay ahead of evolving customs and trade control legislation, providing timely insights and guidance to internal stakeholders to ensure continued compliance.
  • Shape Internal Policy: Develop and maintain Vodafone’s internal logistics policy framework, aligning it with corporate standards and external regulations for transportation, customs, and trade.
  • Drive Standardisation: Promote process consistency across markets and support the use of standard category terms for logistics services sourcing at both Hub and Local Market levels.
  • Lead Strategic Analysis: Conduct logistics baselining for route and network planning, including cost of goods (COG), distribution network design, and cost modelling.
  • Support Governance Initiatives: Collaborate with the supply chain team on ad-hoc compliance tasks, documentation needs, and governance projects.

Who you are

Logistics & Customs Expertise
• Solid experience and deep understanding of logistics operations and customs procedures, particularly within the EU import-export regulatory framework.
• Hands-on experience with EU customs processes is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with key customs domains such as Valuation, Classification, and Origin, and their application in complex supply chains.
Systems & Tools
• Awareness of SAP ERP (S4/HANA) is beneficial and will support your success in this role.
Trade Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge
• Working knowledge of UK/EU export control regulations, especially regarding controlled items lists.
• Experience with government systems used for managing import/export licensing and compliance controls.
• Proven ability to develop and manage policy frameworks that ensure logistics and supply chain compliance.
Communication & Collaboration
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
• Able to support decision-making through credible knowledge of international trade and regulatory environments.
Education & Language
• A university degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication in an international environment.
