POSTE

I'm recruiting on behalf of a leading player in the Space Ground Segment / Earth Observation IT services sector. Our client designs, operates, and scales mission-critical platforms used by European and national space agencies as well as private organisations.

To strengthen the IT Infrastructure department, we're looking for a Senior Linux System Administrator to help run and evolve core infrastructure, HPC systems, and cloud platforms that power high-throughput EO data workflows.

What you'll do :

  • Install, administer, and maintain physical / virtual servers, workstations, and supporting IT equipment.
  • Operate and harden services in Linux (primary) and Windows environments.
  • Manage users, directories, and access across mixed estates.
  • Support and optimise HPC clusters and cloud workloads used for large-scale EO data processing.
  • Ensure reliability, backup / recovery, monitoring, and security across on-prem and cloud components.

PROFIL

Must-have qualifications :

  • Degree in Computer Science (or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in a similar SysAdmin role.
  • Deep expertise in Linux administration (system services, packaging, troubleshooting, performance).
  • Virtualisation and infrastructure management (VMware).
  • Active Directory administration.
  • Networking fundamentals and operations (preferably Cisco and Dell).
  • Backup administration (e.g., Veeam).
  • Monitoring with tools such as Nagios, Observium, SolarWinds.
  • Firewall administration (Check Point preferred).
  • Infrastructure automation (Ansible).
  • Hands-on with cloud infrastructure (design, deployment, ops).
  • Solid grasp of security principles (hardening, least privilege, patching).
  • Experience administering a Kubernetes cluster.
  • English fluency (spoken and written).
  • Proven team player.
  • Valid EU work permit.
  • French is a plus.
