Senior Accountant with VAT Expertise

Mitsubishi UFJ Investor Services and Banking (Luxembourg) S.A. (MIBL) is a Bank incorporated in Luxembourg and is fully owned by Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation, member of the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, one of the largest financial groups worldwide. MIBL provides a wide range of financial services to institutional investors including depositary, custody, fund administration and other banking-related services. MIBL now has an opening in its Finance Department for an : Senior Accountant with VAT Expertise - CDI Role responsibilities : In charge of monthly / quaterly VAT declaration preparation and electronic submission , contact point for VAT related requests, communication with external provider for Annual VAT preparation, accounting for VAT and reconciliation between VAT returns and accounting; Reporting for VAT on company's car leasing; Control the intercompany transaction report for MUFG group; Review the p reporting package prepared by the team, including Japanese GAAP, US GAAP, Consolidated reports, Basel III report, Country by country reporting for MUTB headquarter; Participate in the monthly and annual closing of the accounts for the bank, the Irish branch and the Management company; Assist the Head of Finance during the statutory audit of the Bank and the Management company, by providing external auditors with the necessary supporting documents; Perform the daily controls including the control of daily P & L account and Forex positions; Participate in the preparation of various internal reports (monthly budget follow-up, board pack, ….); Ensure te control of accounts in the Banking System (i.e. opening, amending or closing) ; Review and validate the Accounting vouchers prepared by the Accounting staff before the input in Olympic; Assist with the validation of General Expenses and payments in Novabank; Participation in Back values transaction analysis and recording process; Participate in the maintenance of Suspense account; Control the coverage of foreign exchange position for bookings and payments issued by Accounting Department; Assist the Head of Finance on ongoing projects; Assist the Head of the Accounting Section, advise on various accounting matters in appropriate manner; Ensure the follow-up and improvement of the internal working procedures; Assist other departments in any corporate matters; Specific knowledge & skills Advanced Knowledge on VAT regulation and at least 3 years of practical experience with Luxembourg VAT; Good knowledge on Luxembourg tax regulation; Good understanding of the banking business; High professional consciousness; Your profile : Ability to work under pressure; Good analytical and organizational skills; Good communicational skill; Good knowledge of Lux GAAPs and IFRS; Good knowledge of English, French is an asset; Good computer software skills, advanced Excel user; Discretion efficiency & initiative; If you are interested in taking up this opportunity, please send your application ...
