Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy aligned with LNS’s goals and objectives;
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of LNS’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, and cloud services;
- Manage a team of 4 skilled Infrastructure Engineers, providing leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities;
- Coordinate with the outsourced Service Desk team to ensure seamless IT support and optimal user experience;
- Implement best practices for infrastructure design, support, and operational efficiency;
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical IT systems.
Cyber Security :
Serve as the cybersecurity expert for LNS, working closely with the Head of IT and global Risk Officer to assess and mitigate security risks;Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and address potential security weaknesses;Establish and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards across the organization;Lead incident response efforts in the event of a security breach or cyber-attack.Team Leadership and Collaboration :
Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to the Infrastructure Engineering team;Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the IT department;Ensure infrastructure and security measures support business objectives;Manage relationships with key vendors and service providers to ensure optimal performance and value.Compliance and Reporting :
Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and data protection laws, such as GDPR, NIS2, ISO17025 and ISO 15189;Develop and maintain documentation for IT infrastructure and security processes, including standard operating procedures and technical specifications;Prepare regular reports on infrastructure performance, security metrics, and risk assessments for senior management and the global Risk Officer;Contribute to yearly inventory reviews and budget assessments.Profile
Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field;8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 2 years in a leadership role;Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise-level networks, servers, storage systems, and cloud technologies;Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and emerging threats;Experience implementing and managing security technologies such as IAM, SIEM, EDR, and DLP;Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;Strong leadership and team management abilities;Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CGEIT;Experience with ITIL framework and IT service management principles;Familiarity with healthcare IT environments and relevant regulatory requirements;Knowledge of medical laboratory systems and workflows;Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French, Luxembourgish or German is a plus.
