Job Title : Fund Controller – Open-Ended Private Credit Funds Location : Luxembourg Department : Finance / Fund Accounting Employment Type : Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fund Controller to join our client's Luxembourg office to oversee the financial operations of open-ended private credit funds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fund accounting, regulatory reporting, and NAV oversight for complex alternative investment structures, preferably within the private credit or private debt space. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of fund financials, managing third-party service providers, and supporting investment teams and senior leadership with strategic insights. Key Responsibilities : Fund Oversight & Control Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of Luxembourg-domiciled open-ended private credit funds. Ensure accurate and timely NAV production and investor reporting in collaboration with fund administrators. Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures for fund structures. Financial Reporting Manage quarterly and annual financial reporting under Lux GAAP and / or IFRS. Liaise with auditors to coordinate year-end audits and resolve audit queries efficiently. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of investor reports and capital account statements. Service Provider Management Act as key liaison with fund administrators, custodians, depositaries, and auditors. Monitor and review deliverables from external service providers to ensure compliance with SLAs. Regulatory & Compliance Ensure funds comply with Luxembourg and EU regulatory requirements (CSSF, AIFMD, SFDR, etc.). Support regulatory filings and liaise with local regulators as needed. Performance & Analytics Support portfolio monitoring, valuation, and performance analysis. Partner with investment and operations teams to provide insights into fund performance and liquidity. Cash & Treasury Oversee fund cash management, financing facilities, and capital call / distribution processes. Monitor leverage levels and ensure compliance with fund leverage limits and covenants. Qualifications & Experience : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACA / ACCA / CPA / CFA qualification is a strong plus. Minimum of 5–8 years of relevant experience in fund accounting or financial control, ideally in private credit, private equity, or alternative investments. Strong understanding of open-ended fund structures and Luxembourg regulatory frameworks. Experience with Lux GAAP and IFRS financial reporting; knowledge of INREV reporting standards is a plus. Solid understanding of private credit instruments (e.g., direct lending, senior loans, mezzanine). Experience working with third-party fund administrators, auditors, and legal counsel. Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills. Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of French, German or Luxembourgish would be an asset. Why Join?
