We are recognised for fund finance, acquisition and leveraged finance for private equity sponsors, real estate and infrastructure financings, and Luxembourg securitisation vehicles. Job overview We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic mid-level Associate to reinforce our Global Loans team. As a mid-level Associate, you will take ownership of workstreams on complex, cross-border financings and deepen your Luxembourg and EU legal expertise in a collaborative, high-performing environment. You will supervise junior colleagues, act as a primary client contact on defined workstreams, and drive transactions to closing with sound judgement and commercial awareness. You will advise on the full spectrum of sophisticated financing transactions with a major focus on fund finance and also including leveraged and acquisition finance, real estate and infrastructure finance, structured and asset finance, securitisation and capital markets matters. You responsibilities will include : Drafting and negotiating core and ancillary finance documents, Structuring and implementing Luxembourg law security packages under the financial collateral regime, Managing conditions precedent and closings Advising on financing related regulatory queries, Interacting with service providers and clients on closings and queries. You will manage multi-jurisdictional projects from term sheet to post-closing, liaising closely with colleagues across our international network, clients, counterparties and other advisers. You will also oversee due diligence, identify and mitigate key risks, prepare client-facing reports, lead quality control for trainees and juniors, and support ongoing matters such as amendments, waivers and restructurings. Essential skills and experience Experience You successfully passed an academic degree in law, ideally completed by an LL.M degree. An additional, a specialized Master's degree or a business management degree (HEC, ESCP, IEP, ESSEC, etc.) would be an asset; Qualified lawyer, admitted to List I, List II or List IV of the Luxembourg Bar; 2-5 years of experience in transactional banking and finance within a global law firm or a large local law firm; Experience of drafting and negotiating finance documents, legal opinions and agreements in a private practice environment. Skills Fluency in English and French is a must. German would be a major asset; Proactive, a fast learner, and a team-player who can work effectively with colleagues at all levels; A commercial approach; Able to demonstrate the entrepreneurial spirit and energy necessary to assist in winning and executing complicated and high profile finance transactions; and the ability to understand and respond effectively to client needs.
