As a family-owned company with an international reach, we combine agility with the strength of a worldwide industrial group. 📍 Position based in Lintgen, Luxembourg A relocation is planned this year to our brand-new Industry 4.0 plant in Bissen, a state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance both team well-being and industrial performance. 💼 Your mission: drive technical product development As part of the Engineering team, you will contribute to the design, development, and validation of mechanical systems, from early concept and prototyping to industrialization and certification. You will play a key role in delivering reliable, high-performance technical solutions while supporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities System Design & development Contribute to the design and development of fire suppression systems from prototype to production Develop CAD models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings Perform engineering calculations related to flow dynamics, valve capacity, and mechanical strength Testing & validation Support system prototyping and laboratory testing campaigns (setup, execution, data analysis, reporting) Participate in defining testing procedures and ensure compliance with international standards and certifications Actively support and attend fire testing activities, including pre-fire tests and witness fire tests Risk assessment & technical support Provide technical expertise during FMEA sessions and risk assessments Collaborate closely with engineering, laboratory, sales, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time Supplier & certification interface Engage with suppliers and external partners to ensure quality of critical components Prepare technical documentation and manage approval and certification processes with relevant authorities Innovation & continuous improvement Continuously propose new technical solutions and contribute to product innovation Support the development of advanced fire suppression technologies 🛠 Required technical skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Experience in the R&D engineering field (experience in fire suppression, hydraulics, or fluid systems is an asset) Strong expertise in mechanical design and modeling Proficiency in CAD software (Siemens NX or equivalent) Solid knowledge of engineering calculations (flow capacity, pressure drop, strength analysis) Experience with laboratory testing, data acquisition, and analysis Knowledge of industry standards and certification processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 Fluent English (additional languages are beneficial) Availability to travel for product development and testing activities Personal skills Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex engineering problems Team-oriented approach with strong collaboration and communication skills High level of attention to detail and commitment to engineering excellence Curiosity, creativity, and drive for innovation Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic technical environment ✨ What makes this role unique A key role in the development of life-safety fire suppression technologies used worldwide Direct involvement in full product lifecycle, from concept and testing to certification and production Hands-on participation in real fire testing campaigns A highly technical and innovative environment within an international industrial group The opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge solutions in a new Industry 4.0 facility What you will find at Rotarex Firetec The strength of a global industrial group combined with an agile, human-sized organization A collaborative and international engineering environment Real opportunities for technical development and career growth A modern working environment in a state-of-the-art production site Attractive benefits and flexible working conditions 📢 Only applications submitted through our official application process will be considered All application...
