Values Value is a recruiting company with expertise in game development and is currently looking for a talented Level Artist for an independent game development studio, which is focusing on PC/ Console Games. The studio's debut title, a narrative-driven third-person adventure, was published by a major indie publisher and released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a Nintendo Switch version later. Backed by an investment round the studio has already secured the funding to see its next project through to release. The team is now working on an unannounced project: a story-driven third-person action-adventure with Sekiro-like combat, rendered in a realistic yet grotesque “cast-iron-punk” aesthetic of the 17th–18th centuries.
As the new Level Artist, you will turn early blockouts into polished, photorealistic game levels, working closely with the Art Director to help define the look of this world.
Turn blockouts into beautiful, photorealistic levels
Build blockout level design for new levels, if you're interested in taking that on
Adjust and prototype 3D assets to fit each level's composition, mood and lighting
Work closely with the Art Director to define and maintain the visual quality bar
Collaborate with environment art and level design as the team grows
A strong portfolio with game levels in a realistic style
3-5+ years of industry experience
Excellent knowledge of UE5 (Level Editor, Landscape, Foliage, Lighting); experience with a different engine is fine as long as your portfolio is strong
Comfortable working with 3D software for asset adjustment and prototyping
Strong, confident artistic judgment and taste
Openness to feedback and close creative direction from the Art Director
Self-driven approach to learning new tools when needed
Comfortable collaborating remotely across a distributed team
Real creative ownership – shape a distinctive fictional world from blockout to final polish
Proven track record – join a studio whose debut title already shipped on PC and major consoles through a well-known indie publisher
Secured funding – the new project is backed by a $5M investment round, so you're joining with runway already in place, not starting from zero
A distinctive creative direction – an author-driven visual and narrative style, paired with a combat system that has few analogues in the region
A growing, tight-knit art team – be one of the first Level Artists shaping the project, working directly with the Art Director
Fully remote work with B2B type of employment or officially employed in Kazakhstan
Relocation support to Kazakhstan if it’s needed: legal / work-permit assistance is available; the financial part of a relocation package is considered individually
