Our client is the Luxembourg AIFM of a globally recognised financial institution, a name that is synonymous with excellence, stability and innovation across the investment management industry. Acting as the management company for the group's Private Equity platform, the Luxembourg office is a strategic decision-making centre bringing together approximately 60 professionals across Risk, Compliance, Fund Controlling, Accounting, Corporate and Legal.

Unlike large operational platforms where responsibilities are often segmented, this AIFM offers broad exposure to the entire fund lifecycle and close interaction with experienced decision-makers. It is an ideal environment for professionals looking to accelerate their technical and professional development.

As part of its continued growth, the company is looking to recruit a Junior Fund Controller.

Your Responsibilities

You will join a close-knit finance team and progressively develop a comprehensive understanding of Private Equity funds through a review and oversight role.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing NAV calculations prepared by fund administrators;
  • Reviewing financial statements and investor reports;
  • Verifying financial data and fund transactions;
  • Reviewing tax and regulatory matters, including FATCA and CRS;
  • Coordinating with fund administrators and other external service providers;
  • Working closely with the Risk, Compliance, Accounting, Corporate and Legal teams;
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal procedures and control processes.

This is not a NAV production role. Instead, you will focus on review, analysis, control and coordination, allowing you to gain a much broader understanding of the investment management industry.

Your Profile

  • You have between 6 months and 2 years of experience in:
    • Fund Accounting (NAV calculation or NAV review); or
    • Fund Administration.
  • Exposure to Alternative Investment Funds or Private Equity would be considered an advantage.
  • You understand NAV mechanisms and are comfortable reviewing financial statements.
  • You are fluent in English.
  • French is considered an asset.
  • You are curious, analytical and eager to build a long-term career within a prestigious AIFM.
