For one of its clients, a fintech based in Luxembourg-ville, Sofitex Talent Recruitment is looking for a : Payment operations officer (M/F).

The Payments Operations team owns operational activities across the payment lifecycle, from PayIN and cash/liquidity management through FX and PayOUT settlement, investigations, client cases and incidents. The team works closely with Product, Accounting, Compliance, Network, Reconciliation, Support and other stakeholders to ensure reliable payment flows, protect client funds and continuously improve our operational processes. This role combines payment operations and cash management responsibilities. You will progressively develop end-to-end knowledge of payment flows while retaining strong attention to operational controls, risk and the safeguarding of client funds. You will also contribute to automation, process optimisation and Product and Treasury transformation initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities

? Manage day-to-day payment and financial flows across PayIN, PayOUT and FX activities, in accordance with procedures and controls.
? Perform daily cash management activities across bank accounts and payment platforms, including payment execution, liquidity monitoring and settlement activities.
? Support liquidity management and the strong management of bank accounts to contribute to the protection and safeguarding of client funds.
? Monitor payment settlements and investigate pending, rejected or unexpected transactions, including refunds, recalls and other payment-flow exceptions.
? Investigate and resolve operational and client cases related to payment flows, coordinating with the relevant internal and external stakeholders when required.
? Establish and perform daily operational controls and reporting, ensuring a high level of accuracy and risk awareness.
? Cooperate closely with Product, Accounting, Compliance, Network, Reconciliation, Support and other teams to resolve operational issues and improve the quality and resilience of payment services.
? Contribute to the automation and optimisation of operational processes and business tools, including API, Treasury Management System and other automation initiatives.
? Identify recurring operational issues and opportunities for improvement and contribute to solutions that prevent future cases and reduce manual intervention.

Qualifications :

? Curiosity, initiative and willingness to learn across different areas of payment and treasury operations.
? Ability and appetite to work in a constantly changing environment.
? Hands-on approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
? You have relevant experience in payment operations, cash management, treasury operations, banking operations or another financial-services operational environment.
? You understand, or are keen to develop a strong understanding of, payment flows, settlements, liquidity and cash-management processes.
? You are comfortable working with data, Excel and financial or payment software.
? Experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS), payment platforms, process documentation or automation initiatives is an advantage.
? You have a strong level of English, both spoken and written. Additional European languages are an advantage.
? You have a strong interest in the Fintech and payments sector.

This a position to start ASAP as a Consultant.
Salary range : 60-70k annual gross salary depending on the experience.
