JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Financial Analyst - Accounting to join our dynamic Finance Team at the Luxembourg office on a full-time basis. This is an opportunity designed for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance (or related field) and 1–3 years of professional experience, ideally gained in audit (Big4 preferred) or accounting departments (service provider / industry).

In this role, you will report to our Head of Finance and manage end-to-end accounting for multiple entities, ensure accurate and timely reporting, participate in process and automation improvement initiatives, and perform deep-dive financial analyses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • End-to-end bookkeeping and accounting, including reconciliations, month / quarter / year-end closings, and preparation of financial statements under Lux GAAP.
  • Regular controlling activities : detailed analysis of MoM, QoQ and YoY variances, margin and profitability, and group-level trend insights.
  • Preparation of various deliverables to support both internal and external financial reporting needs.
  • Assist with annual audits : address audit queries and provide requested documentation and information to the auditors.
  • Provide comprehensive support for day-to-day operational finance activities, including invoicing, payment processing, and revenue and expense tracking.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal policies, local accounting, tax, and regulatory standards.
  • Liaise with other teams, including joint projects with business, compliance and other teams.
  • Drive automation and efficiency by using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) and accounting software (Odoo) to streamline workflows.
  • Actively participating in improvement initiatives, standardization, re-engineering of processes and controls, and implementation of best practices.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of prior experience in audit (Big4 preferred) or accounting departments (service provider or industry).
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Solid grasp of Lux GAAP and IFRS.
  • Prior experience with an accounting software (Odoo) is advantageous.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, international environment; able to prioritize, communicate clearly, and collaborate across functions.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive work style with commitment to high performance.
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken); French or German is a plus.
  • Interest or experience in Bitcoin, digital assets, or emerging fintech is an advantage.
