Task Responsibilities :
Cargolux’s Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) department is looking for a new member.

Your primary responsibility is to assess and implement / monitor all necessary actions in order to avoid any OHS occurrence to any person involved in our activities and Cargolux’s global network including our subsidiary company Aquarius AFF. You will actively lead OHS related projects in line with the required legislation and the strategy of the company and support the Head of OHS in the planning, implementation and operation of all OHS related tasks.
On behalf of the OHS you shall :
- Once trained and qualified you will carry out audits and inspections in Cargolux’s stations or for Aquarius AFF, in order to guide the Company towards a proactive safety culture
- Support / assist the monitoring of corrective actions and safety trends in relation to their area of expertise
- Make safety recommendations from investigations to reduce the probability of reoccurrence and consequences of safety incidents
- Support / assist Cargolux stations in producing safety-related information and guidance in implementing the Company OHSMS (OHS Management System)
- Conduct psychosocial risk analysis and ensure the implementation of corrective actions with the various stakeholders.
- Contribute to the creation and continual development of documented processes and procedures of the OHS department
- Support Cargolux’s global network that the company’s OHSMS becomes integrated into the day to day business decision making
- Must encourage staff to abide by and follow the company OHSMS
- Ensure compliance of OHS requirements on site at all levels using all available methods of communication
- Support the Department in modelling and promoting an organizational culture that fosters safety practices through effective leadership
Essential Requirements For The Position :
Master DegreeAt least 5-7 years’ work experience in a Health & Safety department or related field (eg. risk area)Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and FrenchStrong knowledge in mental health and Psychosocial RiskStrong knowledge of safety management principles and ISO 45001 standardDesignated worker certificate Level E up to date is considered as a strong advantageExperience in aviation is considered as an advantage or ISO 45003 standardInquisitive and a good listener, maintain impartiality, able to handle confidential mattersAbility to empathize and know your audienceFeeling comfortable to work in a team as well as autonomouslyMethodical and organized way of workingProject management skillsCollection of factual dataHigh ability for teaming up with the existing teamDealing effectively with complexity and having good problem-solving skillsStrong PC knowledge (MS Office and Outlook) and learning capabilitiesFluency in written and spoken English and French, other languages are a distinct advantageAbility to work with international teams and across timezonesWorking Conditions :
