The EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting and partially leading the implementation, follow-up, and continuous improvement of the company's Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) strategy, policies, and tools. This role ensures compliance with internal procedures and external regulations, promotes a strong safety culture, and contributes to the operational excellence of the site. Key responsibilities
- Contribute to and partially lead the deployment of EHS strategy, policies, and tools across the site
- Conduct safety audits, general risk assessments, and other evaluations; propose and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate closely with the different departments to ensure safe and compliant operations (Provide hands-on guidance and safety coaching during operations and maintenance activities)
- Organize and deliver EHS-related training and awareness programs
- Maintain documentation of incidents and accidents; analyze trends and report statistics
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry regulations
- Act as a contact point between operational teams and EHS leadership
- May coach or supervise junior staff and provide guidance on EHS matters
- Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset
- Ensure proper reporting, documentation, and follow-up of EHS non-conformities Profile requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field
- 4 - 8 years of experience in an EHS role within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of EHS regulations, risk management, and audit processes
- Familiar with ISO 14001 / 45001 standards and guidelines
- Having followed an ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) training is a plus
- Training as designated worker / prevention advisor in Luxembourg is a plus
- Training about “Waste management” in industry is considered as a plus
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
- You are fluent in French and English
- Skilled use of technology and software packages such as MS Office and Internet / Intranet navigation
- Demonstrate a tenacious drive for results
