We are working exclusively with a real estate investment manager to find a Financial Controller on a part time basis working 20 hours per week (50%). It is an interesting and challenging business, enabling you to have significant exposure to the investments, liaising with various stakeholders, having plenty of touchpoints within the business as well as with a number of external service providers. Responsibilities include : You will work in a small office, reporting directly to the head of the office Ownership will consist of supervising and reviewing the accounting and reporting functions of the unregulated funds (SCSP's) including the underlying structures You will have oversight of the work conducted by service providers with ultimate responsibility of the deliverables Review financial statements under Lux GAAP and IFRS accounting standards Preparation of budgets and financial forecasts with variance analyses Monitoring operating budgets Responsible for reporting on liquidity and cash management of investments Ensure controls result in all fund vehicles remaining tax and legally compliant Provide assistance with different analyses and projects Experience required : Minimum of 5 years of working in a similar financial control role within a service provider or alternative funds asset manager Fluent in English, written and spoken LUX GAAP essential. IFRS advantageous Experience in preparing direct and indirect tax calculations advantageous Good organizational and deadline management skills Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills Pro-active and solution-orientated.
