WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As an Non Financial Risk Analyst, you will support the Chief Risk Officer in managing Non-Financial Risk (NFR) at Santander Asset Management Luxembourg and monitoring risks according to the company’s risk appetite and limits.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts :

Reinforce the operational risk management framework of the company, with the support of the local CRO and the Global NFR team. Including periodical reporting of risk appetite and NFR metrics, coordinating annual Internal Control campaigns, monitoring of action drivers and mitigating actions status, assessment on insurance policies.

Contribute to the continuous improvement on Business Continuity Management and related processes (BCP review, Business Impact Assessment, testing…)

Support business functions in order to register a complete and updated operational risk database, analyzing root causes and coordinating the design of actions to minimize the impact and mitigate the risk in the future.

Coordinate the Risk and Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) & Internal Control model exercise, helping to document it in line with Santander Group methodology and tools, leading workshops with areas to identify, assess and mitigate key risks.

Coordinate the deployment of IT & Cyber risk second line of defense controls including the risk assessment and mitigation, liaising with IT & Cyber teams.

Ensure that transformational risk arising from initiatives is adequately assessed, managed and mitigated by the business areas supporting them in their Risk Assessments and mitigation plans.

Collaborate in creating powerful, precise and compelling reporting and presentations to the CRO, analyzing the information, sifting the critical topics and elaborating conclusions and proposals.

Promote Risk Culture across SAM Luxembourg, encouraging the operational events report and escalation, sponsoring awareness measures, leading risk workstreams, etc.

Stay updated with changes in the regulatory framework (e.g. DORA).

EXPERIENCE

• years in Non-Financial Risk

EDUCATION

Degree in Finance, Business Administration or Engineering

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Willingness to learn, problem solving skills and proactivity are a must

Knowledge in operational risk management frameworks and methodologies

Interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders

Strong understanding of Luxembourg’s fund regulatory environment

Knowledge in financial risks would be a plus

Fluent in English. Spanish and / or French will be a plus
