Junior R&D Engineer

We are looking for a Mechanical R&D Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a central role in designing and developing new valve solutions, from the first concept to series production, in a collaborative, high-tech, and international environment. Why join us? Work on strategic and innovative projects that shape tomorrow's fluid control technologies Collaborate across departments (R&D, lab, production, purchasing, quality) in a multidisciplinary and supportive team Combine theory and practice : calculations, CAD modeling, lab testing, supplier sourcing Contribute to a company with a strong industrial presence and international outlook Be part of a long-term transformation : move to our future smart factory in Bissen by end of 2025, a brand-new 4.0 site at the forefront of technology Your key responsibilities You will work hand-in-hand with other engineers and specialists to : Develop innovative valves from concept to series support, across all business units Create and evaluate technical concepts, ensuring alignment with internal procedures and industry norms Calculate valve characteristics (flow, mechanical strength, etc.) using engineering tools and simulations Perform feasibility assessments of new projects and design solutions accordingly Design components using CAD (Siemens NX preferred) Define and supervise lab testing procedures, including test planning, reporting, and validation Collaborate with production, quality, procurement, and other departments to ensure timely delivery and top-quality output Participate in FMEA sessions Identify, validate, and manage technical suppliers when needed Your profile Education & Experience Master's degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering Proven experience or strong academic background in : CAD tools (Siemens NX preferred) FEA (linear and non-linear, for metals and plastics) CFD and fluid dynamics (liquids and gases) Thermodynamics Knowledge of metal machining (turning, milling) is a plus CAM experience is an asset (Siemens NX CAM preferred) Core competencies Team player with strong communication and active listening skills Analytical and problem-solving mindset Resilient, solution-oriented, and proactive Able to manage time and priorities efficiently Data-driven and objective decision-making Languages Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required Comfortable in French and / or German is a strong advantage What we offer Joining Rotarex means more than just a job : it's the opportunity to grow within a company that values technical excellence, innovation, and people.
