Senior Financial Reporting Specialist

Description de posteDefine and validate expected key controls in the Financial Reporting process with minimal supervision. Identify and challenge key regulatory reporting returns, ensuring compliance with best-in-class practices. Validate and defend key assumptions in relation to the identified reports. Drive the definition of the extent of substantive testing, including the analysis and verification of underlying data. University graduate with a degree in business or a related subject, or equivalent qualification. Extensive and proven experience in an Audit or Finance function, with a strong focus on regulatory reporting returns. In-depth understanding of financial processes, as well as regulatory reporting and ratios. Solid knowledge of the Private Banking business. Expert-level knowledge of EU and Luxembourg prudential regulations (e.g. CRD, CRR, CSSF Circular 12 / 552…). Recognised for excellent communication skills and the ability to operate as a senior advisor. Proven ability to work autonomously under tight deadlines and handle complex, high-stakes deliverables.
Tasks and responsibilities :
To provide high-level support to the Global Internal Audit (GIA) Luxembourg team in auditing complex financial regulatory reporting returns, including main regulatory ratios. In particular, to :
- Lead the review of key assumptions used in the context of major regulatory reporting returns and ratios (CET1, Leverage Ratio, Solvency Ratio, Large Exposure).
- Bring proven market best practices and act as a reference point in relation to the regulatory reporting returns and ratios.
- Support GIA Luxembourg in advanced control assessment over operational financial processes, and in the in-depth testing of the regulatory reporting returns and ratios.
