About the team + role

As Head of Regulatory Compliance Policy and Governance , you will be responsible for handling all matters related to regulatory compliance including regulatory policies and procedures, regulatory reporting and horizon scanning for Bitstamp by Robinhood entities outside the US and will report into Chief Compliance Officer, Europe.

This role is based in our Luxembourg office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you'll do

• Further develop all applicable regulatory policies and procedures impacting Bitstamp by Robinhood, ensuring these are fit for purpose, meeting regulatory requirements and are updated and maintained.
• Deliver continuous improvement of the Compliance framework.
• Work collaboratively with the Compliance teams across US, EU, and Asia to ensure standardized and consistent approach and develop solutions to mitigate regulatory risks.
• Perform the annual AML and Sanctions risk assessment exercise.
• Enhance and refine the Compliance Risk Appetite Statements and Key Risk Indicators.
• Continuous horizon scanning on all regulatory changes that may impact Bitstamp by Robinhood, ensuring new changes impacting the business are effectively reported to management and the Board. Work collaboratively with the global legal team to assess their impact and required controls.
• Maintain regulatory correspondence log.
• Oversee the accurate and comprehensive periodic regulatory reporting to CSSF on all regulatory matters and handle the effective regulatory engagement with CSSF on Compliance topics as the business and regulator requires.
• Work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer, Europe of Bitstamp by Robinhood to ensure that all regional policy requirements pertaining to Compliance and Financial Crime are addressed.
• Ensure that an effective Compliance training program is in place that meets regulatory requirements for the EU team and the Board of Directors.
• Act as an ambassador for Compliance at Bitstamp by Robinhood.
